Heather Dvorak is the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Mineola High School in Garden City Park, NY.
Heather began teaching in 2007 after being accepted into the New York City Teaching Fellows program. Through this program Heather earned a Masters of Science in Secondary English Education at St. John’s University and taught middle and high school English at high needs schools in New York City for eight years until she accepted a position at Mineola High School. Since then, Heather has supported the implementation of a 1:1 instructional program which is focused on incorporating the 4 Cs (critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration) using the SAMR model as a guide.
